Fetal Alcohol Spectrum

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum disorders are a range of birth defects caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. This presentation will provide an overview of FASD, explore the impact of prenatal alcohol exposure, and provide a summary in order for professionals to be equipped with the tools to better identify this population and formulate an effective response to supporting individuals on the FASD spectrum.

 

Ruth Richardson is the Director of Programs for the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. She has a JD from William Mitchell College of Law, is a community faculty member at Metropolitan State University, and current Chairperson of the Minnesota Board of Social Work
