This class explains the three Minnesota state laws that were written to protect the safety and dignity of people with disabilities and all children. In this course, the attendee will learn the definitions of maltreatment with clear examples maltreatment. They will also learn the responsibilities that mandated reporters have when they witness or suspect maltreatment. We will walk through the process of reporting and investing maltreatment. We will also explore the standards that were set with Rule 40. We will discuss what staff can and cannot do with regards to aversive and deprivation procedures.
