Dealing with individuals who are agitated can be troublesome and dangerous. This session will explore strategies to help the agitated individual regain control and calm down while keeping everyone’s safety in mind. Those attending the session will learn very specific steps and phrases that will give them confidence in working through difficult situations.
- Learn new methods for de-escalating a crisis situation with consumers who have developmental disabilities,
- Fewer staff injuries,
- Fewer consumer injuries,
- Less use of control procedures,
- Fewer licensing issues.
