This course will teach you the skills of CPR following the guidelines of the American Heart Association. The course will help participants to identify respiratory and cardiac emergencies and respond to them immediately until advanced medical care arrives.This course meets the criteria for CPR in the Minnesota DHS Consolidated Standards. The certification gained by passing this course is good for two years.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsership by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association.
Jason Hoffrogge, is the training director for Orion Associates, a human resources agency for companies working with people who have disabilities. Jason has 18 years of experience in working with people who have disabilities in residential, vocational, and crisis settings. Jason has also been a part-time firefighter and first responder for the past nine years.
