2020 Positive Supports Refresher

The Minnesota Positive Supports Rule was developed to regulate the policies and interventions of providers who are addressing the behaviors of people with developmental disabilities.  It places guidelines and requirements for the use of positive supports to change interfering behaviors by utilizing Functional Behavior Assessments, person-centered thinking, skills training, environmental modifications, and de-escalation strategies.  This law prohibits the use of punishment.  This is a shortened training that is utilized for annual training or the initial training for case managers.

This training will take around 4 hours.
