  • Daytime session
     November 10, 2022
     9:30 am - 11:30 am

In this training, we will go deeper into understanding bias and learn and practice research-based de-biasing techniques. We will explore how bias shows up in our interactions with others as microaggressions, daily verbal and nonverbal insults of slights, whether intentional or not, that target a person’s marginalized identity. Microaggressions are one of the most common reasons a person with marginalized identities disengages from their work or leaves their place of employment. Participants will explore how microaggressions appear in the workplace and community and discuss ways to interrupt and respond to bias and microaggressions in order to better equity and create belonging.
