This course has been designed to prepare you for the in-person Medication Administration Course. This must be taken before you do the in-person course. It will help you to become familiar with the process that Meridian Services uses to administer medication to the people that we serve. This process has been designed to provide a standard for medication to be consistently administered, and it must be followed by all staff. In this course, we will review the following topics:
- Checking the five rights of medication administration;
- The correct procedures for checking and administering medication;
- An overview of the Medication Administration Record on Therap.
These are the handouts for the class. Familiarize yourself with them to prepare for the class. We have also included the form that is used to test you our on the skills portion of the class. Go over this and familiarize yourself with it so that you are more prepared to pass the class.
