Each year, the Minnesota DHS requires that staff in child foster homes receive one hour of mental health training and one hour of training on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. This is your training to accomplish that requirement.
We have new videos this year. For the mental health training, we are using the CDC’s training on Aversive Childhood Experiences (ACE’s). This is a training that is new to many of our staff, but quite pertinent. For the FASD training, we are sharing videos of four people with a FASD diagnosis who will share the struggles and the triumphs that they have experienced. You will also see an animated video that discusses 8 keys that you can use to support people with FASD.
This training is approximately 2 hours long
